Bass Fishing |

Fishing is great right now. The water has
came back up and the fish are shallow again.
A 3/8oz spinner bait and a Zoom Super speed
craw has been working great. Good area's has
been upriver past the pumping stations and
also at the mouth of Yellow Jacket by the
sunk timber. Top water is still working very
well in the afternoons. I like to use a
Rebel Pop-R in the bone color. Down lake
fishing is good around the points and
shoals. Keep a 1/8oz Shakey head rigged with
a finesse worm and a Excalibur crank bait in
the shad color tied on because the clearer
water has been producing some big Spotted
Bass. |
Hybrids/Stripers |
|
Fishing has been good. Shad fishing is
picking up around the lake. This week
looking for the schooling fish has been the
best choice. If the fish blow up on the
surface throw a Zara Spook until the stop
coming up and then switch to a jigging spoon
and follow them with your depth finder. Good
areas have been around the Yellow Jacket
bridge down to the 109 Bridge. |
Crappie |
|
Fishing is picking up around the docks and
bridge columns around the lake. Minnows has
been the best method but Jiffy jigs have
been working just as good in the evening.
Wedhakee and Stroud creek has been holding
some good fish but they have been a little
deep the most of the other creeks. |
